Editorial and Corrections Policy
Effective: August 23, 2026
This policy explains how Virginia Short Sale Options selects, researches, reviews, updates, and corrects its educational content.
Named authorship
Substantive real-estate guides identify their author and the date of the most recent meaningful review. Jeffrey Bord, a California REALTORĀ® and licensed real estate salesperson, DRE #02116578, writes and reviews the site's real-estate transaction content.
Professional scope
Our content explains practical property-sale and real-estate transaction considerations. It does not provide legal, tax, lending, credit-repair, or HUD housing-counseling advice. We do not imply that attorneys, tax professionals, counselors, or lenders work for Anchor Offers LLC.
When a homeowner needs advice outside our scope, we encourage consultation with an independent appropriately qualified professional. A referral does not make that professional an employee or representative of Anchor Offers LLC.
Source standards
For legal, regulatory, tax, and mortgage-program facts, we prioritize primary public sources, including:
- Virginia General Assembly, Virginia's Judicial System, Office of the Virginia Attorney General, and Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation
- HUD and FHA, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and USDA Rural Development
- Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac
- Internal Revenue Service and Virginia Department of Taxation
We link to the specific source supporting a consequential claim whenever practical. A cited agency is a source of public information; citation does not imply endorsement of Anchor Offers LLC.
Review and update schedule
- Foreclosure procedures and Virginia-law references: reviewed at least every 90 days
- FHA, VA, USDA, HECM, and investor-program information: reviewed quarterly
- Tax-related references: reviewed after relevant annual or legislative changes
- Help lines, contact details, and time-sensitive resources: reviewed monthly
- Evergreen transaction explanations: reviewed at least every six months
We update a displayed review date only after a meaningful factual or editorial review. A copyright-year change alone is not treated as a substantive update.
Use of drafting tools
Research and drafting tools may assist with organization, comparison, or initial language. They do not replace human review. Jeffrey Bord is responsible for reviewing the published real-estate content, checking cited sources, and keeping claims within the stated professional scope.
Commercial transparency
Virginia Short Sale Options is operated by Anchor Offers LLC and may generate inquiries about property options. Educational resources and an initial review are available without charge. When Virginia-licensed brokerage services are needed, we may refer a homeowner to an independently licensed Virginia professional. Using the educational content does not require hiring any referred professional.
